I'm a business strategist on the outside, philosopher & artist on the inside, and a million things in between.

Amongst other things, I've grown up to be acknowledged as a subject matter expert in branding and marketing, and thereby exposed to endless discussion about the idea and value of having a "niche". For years, I helped entrepreneurs and organisations figure out what their niche was and how to make sure they were aligning to it. However, in practice, I struggled with it myself because I've always had an inclination towards being a bit of a renaissance man (or as I sometimes call it, a jackass of all trades).

Only recently have I stopped obsessing about pigeon-holing my self-expression and worrying about my personal brand; or trying to have half a dozen different websites expressing different facets of myself.

The year is 2018, and I truly believe we're making a lot of progress in the world at a general human consciousness level. Communities and businesses everywhere are talking about things like human-centred design, Agile, self-managing teams, teal organisations, creative leadership, stoicism, and many other points of conversation that revolve around evolving towards a shared vision of a more conscious, kind and equitable society.

Above all, I believe underlying all of these conversations at an individual's level is the idea of genuine integrity - an alignment between what we think, feel, believe and do - and ergo a harmonious integration between not just our professional and personal lives, but also between our professional, creative, spiritual and everything-in-between selves.

To continuously live with this genuine integrity fuels me with the strength and compassion to be of greater service to the world.

For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one’s personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself.
— Viktor Frankl
